How to tell if my windows are single or double glazed?

You can opt for two different techniques for knowing whether your windows are double or single-glazed coated.

3 techniques for testing if you have double or single glazed windows –

Technique 1: Check out the interior edge of the window. If you can notice two distinct panes separated by a space, then it’s double-glazed.
In the case of a single pane without any space, it’s a separate glazed window.

Technique 2: Place your fingers in one hand on the exterior glass while the other side at the same spot, however, on the interior portion of the glass.
Check the distance between the edges of your fingers. If they are far apart, then it’s undoubtedly double glazed. Lack of space reveals single-glazed windows.

Technique 3: Light a match and hold it in front of the glass, and observe the color of the reflections; moreover, the reflected light will reveal different colors if the glass is coated.

Also, find out the additional properties of double glazing windows and know when they need a replacement.
